Changing Circle Color

    Hello,

    My blog partner, Marta Troya & I bought Nuevo on Friday for our joint blog:

    http://turningpages.co

    We changed several elements to white. This looks great, except it makes a few things invisible.

    1. Is there a way to change the circles with the dates separate from the top bar? We want to keep the top bar white, but would like the date circles to be grey or black.

    2. The title of the post on the home page and on the single post is now white on white... is there a place to change this type to be black?

    3. "Article published by 'in'... and 'on'..." and "article by..." are white on white (in some cases because it is a mouseover effect) is there a way to make that type black?

    Thank you!!

    Hi!, thanks for contact us!

    About your questions:

    1.- Yes, this can be done editing main-color.css file and add these lines at the end of the file:

    div.home div.timeline article header time,
    div.single article header div.meta time{ background: #ccc; }

    2.- You must edit these titles one by one, (so i recommend you to use a html inspector like firebug or chrome inspector)

    a, div.home div.timeline article header h2 a, div.single article header h2, section.author h4 a, div.single article footer section.tags time, div.single article footer section.tags span{ color: #333; }

    Of course this code must be added on main-color.css (at the of the file), i recommend you to use "right click -> inspect" if there is another white text.

    Example (highlighted area is the right css class to use):

    Full image link: https://ticksy_attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/6538695746.jpg

    3.- With the above code, this should be working now.

    Hope this may help you!

    Hi! Thank you so much, that helped a lot!

    2 more questions:

    1. Since we're doing the website:

    http://turningpages.co

    as a correspondence between the 2 of us, we'd like to have FULL POSTS and NOT EXCERPTS on the home page. Is there a way to TURN OFF EXCERPTS, or change to Full Posts for the home page?

    2. One more thing we need to change is the right-side fly-in menu on smaller screens. It's now white type on white. How do we change the type to black?

    Thank you for the suggestion of Firebug or Chrome Inspector. I tried both but I am probably a little bit novice - I couldn't figure out how to isolate what setting I needed for a given element...

    Thank you again!

    Hi again!

    1.- Full Posts: This is not a recommendable change because you have a lot of content in all your articles. Anyway, if you want to remove the excerpt, this can be done editing index.hbs and search for "{{excerpt}}".

    Again, removing the excerpt will affect your template visually and the inherit SEO (organic visits).

    2.- I checked the problem and it is a little more complex, so add this css code (main-color.css):

    @media screen and (max-width: 959px){
    nav.mobile ul li a{ color: #000; }
    }

    Hope this may help you!

    Thank you! That fixed the sidebar! Whew! :)

    I have a hard time seeing the links vs text. Looks like links are black and text is dark grey.

    How would I change:

    1. Text to Black

    2. Links to Blue with Underlines?

    Thank you so much!!

    Hi!, this can be done adding some css code at the end of the file (main-color.css):

    1.- body{ color: #000; }

    2.- a{ color: blue; text-decoration: underline; }

    Of course, the links needs more attention because they have differents colors inside the template, example: header has an own class #header nav ul li a{ color: red; }, so i recommend you to use a html inspector to change all links colors.

    Regards!
