    Hi,

    I have a few questions. Is there a top post widget for day, week, month, that i can use on home page? I can add a row with posts carousel, which looks nice, but i cant specify the post type, like top posts for day, week, month! I really need this option for my site.

    Also, how to show full category list on post page?

    And the last question, i need to make on specific category page posts to show only that category tag, even if the post have more than one category! Is there a way to do that?

    Thank you!

    P.s I love this wp theme!

    Hi! thank you for contact us!

    1.- That feature you detail is not available on the theme.

    For the moment, i recommend you to create a "Featured" category and filter the posts carousel with that parameter: http://prntscr.com/osoqs2

    I will check if that feature can be added but i need more details to add it into the evaluation list. For example, how do you know when a post is a "top/featured post"? there is a view counter but if we filter by that paremeter you will get the same post list no matter if is filtered by month, week or day, because the post with the most amount of views will be the first.

    2.- Is it possible to attach an example (screenshot or similar)? if you mean this list: http://prntscr.com/osou4h that is limited to 2 items, but if you need it,  i can add a new option to change the number of categories displayed.

    3.- I think it is possible with some custom CSS, for example:

    .archive div.tags.absolute a{ display: none; }
    .archive.category-4 div.tags.absolute a.tag-link-4{ display: inline-block; }
    .archive.category-5 div.tags.absolute a.tag-link-5{ display: inline-block; }
    .archive.category-6 div.tags.absolute a.tag-link-6{ display: inline-block; }

    You can paste that code into Theme Options -> advanced settings, i will explain a little more that CSS so you will understand how it works:

    1.- We hide all tags in the category page.

    2.- Only in tags with the same ID of the parent page will be displayed, the format is category-ID and tag-link-ID, you can get your correct category ID with the Chrome Inspector: http://prntscr.com/osoylu

    Hope all this information may help you.

    And thank you very much for your words, we really appreciate it!

    Have a nice day!

    1. Exactly, you know it by view counter. I'm not a IT developer, but for the day/week/month function you can just add some code, that counts only last day/week/month posts. That's how it will know to not count every post that you have posted. All i need, is that i can choose a most popular posts option for that carousel, there are some similar wp plugins that kinda does the job, but they don't look good. Or perhaps you could just add option for the categories, so that we can choose how our posts are listed, for example I could choose to show most viewed posts first in the grid list, in that way i could do what you suggested, just create a featured category and do it manually.

    2. Yes, I'm talking about this: http://prntscr.com/osou4h. I would really appreciate if you could add that new option.

    3. Thank you. This works perfectly, but there's a problem with the hidden tags, the max tags shown on post are 2 items. So, basically i can choose only from those 2 items, which one i want to show, but not the ones that are hidden. https://prnt.sc/osrza1 Can you add that new option for these tags also, so that we can choose how many tags to show?

    Thank you for helping me out!

    Hi! i will detail point by point:

    1.- I think i can create a new option (thinking about all our customers) to add a new filter fo the grid posts named "order by" and this new option could contain: "newest", "oldest", "by views".

    Of course that filter could be combined with "featured categories" so you can get a very specific amount of posts.

    Probably that new option can be applied to the grid posts module and the category carousel module, so let me know if you are interested to add it into my to-do list.

    2.- Added to my to-do list.

    3.- Yes, checking that, the limit is a problem if you hide the categories manually, i attached theme-functions.php file to my message so just replace breek/functions/theme-functions.php i raised the limit to "10" to avoid that issue for the moment.

    In the future i will add a more complex way to edit the number of displayed categories, but that should do the job until then. If you are interested into edit the limit, it is here: http://prntscr.com/osugzc

    Let me know if that helps you!

    Hi,

    1. I am very interested!

    2. Thank you!

    3. It worked, thanks again. Well, now i would like to make the tag size on homepage a little bit smaller, but it's all good. Great, i will definitely be looking in to the new update. By the way, updates are automatic or i need to manually do it?

    Hi!

    Check this custom CSS:

    div.articles.columns-4 article div.tags a{ font-size: 11px; padding: 4px 20px; }

    That will reduce the font size and a little of padding to make them smaller, only for your homepage.

    About the updates, both options are good:

    1.- Automatic updates: http://estudiopatagon.com/themes/docs/breek-wp/#ts-4 with Envato Market plugin the theme is automatic updated, but you must update Breek Function Plugin manually (sometimes it is needed, sometimes it's not), depending if we added new options.

    So if you find an "Added" on our changelog, that's for sure you need to update the Theme and Breek functions plugin.

    2.- Manually: you can download the latest version from your Themeforest acccount, remove the old theme and upload into your installation (via wp-admin with the zip file or FTP, whatever your prefer).

    Hope all this information may help you!

    Hi,

    That custom CSS did the thing and the information about updates is very helpful. Thanks once again, now I will wait for the update!

    Have a nice day.

  • Andris replied

    I have a one more question. Can I change these links with custom CSS also? https://prnt.sc/ot9q3s

    Thanks! :)

    Hi!

    Yes, that links can be edited too if you need it:

    #footer .widgets .widget_epcl_about .title a{ color: #000; }
    #footer .widgets .widget_epcl_about .avatar a{ border-color: #000; }

    With that both classes you can start editing if you need, but for me, your about widget looks pretty good.

    Hope this may help you!

  • Andris replied

    Thank you, but i was thinking about changing the links or disabling them, i don't like that it is redirecting to my author page. How i can do that with that CSS code?

    Estudio replied

    Hi!

    That can't done with CSS probably the best way to remove the links is editing HTML, but the solution is more complex than editing CSS, if you want to go ahead, here are the steps:

    That widget is located inside plugins/breek-functions/widgets/about.php

    And you should remove all href attributes and effects, for example: http://prntscr.com/otppov i marked with red everything that should be removed.

    Your code should look like: http://prntscr.com/otpq6j

    The main problem with that solution, every time you update breek functions plugin, that file will be overwriten with our file, so you will loose your changes.

    Hope this information may help you!

  • Andris replied

    I already thought so. Well, will try to edit that html. Thanks.

    Also, can you take a look at my mobile page, when I scroll down the page I see a white line at the bottom. What is that? Can I remove it?

    Hi!

    That is a problem related to the background images on Android/IOS, in some devices fixed images doesn't work properly.

    In that case i recommend you to set a solid background color only for mobile so you will get 100% compatibility with any device, check this:

    @media screen and (max-width: 767px){
        background: #047e82 !important;
    }

    Probably, on future release i will add an option to set a solid background color for mobile devices, i saw another customer has a very similar problem on his Iphone.

    Hope this may help you!

    hmm, the code seems not working. Where should i add it? When I copy it in Additional CSS, it shows that i have 2 errors in code. https://prnt.sc/otxwfr

    Yes, that option could help.

    Hi!

    Try adding that code into theme options -> advanced settings: http://prntscr.com/otxxaq i think the syntax is correct so maybe it is a false positive.

    Let me know if in that section works fine.

  • Andris replied

    Nope, the code doesn't work.

    Btw, can I also manage tags in homepage? Whats the CSS for homepage tags so I can hide some of them if I want? Thanks.

    Estudio replied

    Hi!

    Sorry i found the problem:

    Here it is the correct code:

    @media screen and (max-width: 767px){
        body{
            background: #047e82 !important;
        }
    }

    To hide some tags on home, this will work:

    .home div.tags a.tag-link-6{
        display: none;
    }

    That will hide xbox tag on homepage.

    Let me know if that works.

  • Andris replied

    Thank you, now it's working. And the code for tags also works.
